A flight screening will be performed by a qualified flight instructor in an Airline Academy aircraft, weather permitting (if not then you will undertake an assessment in the simulator). This flight will be used to assess your hand-eye co-ordination, your ability to follow directions, to listen and learn, and to retain information.

NOTE: The cost of the flight screen in an Airline Academy aircraft will be at a cost to the applicant of $100.00 (approx) for half an hour (price current June 2008).

The formal interview is a vital component of the application process. Airline Cadets Australia will conduct a panel interview with you. The panel will consist of the General Manager, the Chief Pilot, and a guest with experience within the aviation industry.

It is important to note that this is a job interview because we are assessing your suitability as an airline pilot. You should prepare for this interview as you would for employment with an airline
